Hedgehogs are of the order Erinaceomorpha, while rats and other rodents are of the order Rodentia. (Not that rats can not also be cute, in their own right.)

It is a hedgehog. Look at google images hedgehog. They all look like that. And the word is spiny rat, not spiky. And that’s just chinchillas and stuff like that. They have quill-like fur, but definitely look like a rat, not a hedgehog

why do you people think thats a rat?! its clearly the cutest hedgehog in the world that oddly has a dogs adorable face
its so cute! ive never seen a hedgehog with that fuzzy face and floppy ears before but i do believe that is the most amazingly adorable critter i have ever seen! and its most certainly not a rat or a porcupine cuz rats look nothing like that (like the person said before theyre in two different orders of animal) and porcupines have spikes that look like fur not little bones. im sorry im talking a lot! and dude i wish there were blue hedgehogs! thatd be cute! but unfortunately they dont come in blue

i could show you a blue hedgehog. my brothers as an april fools dyed my hedge hog blue with veggie oil based dye. it was messy. the also foam at the mouth while cleaning themselves. it was blue.
